Springtime In Texas

Springtime in Texas is a wonderful, fragrant, beautiful time of year. The trees are getting their leaves back, the butterflies are beginning to flit around the rose and lantana bushes, and the myriad of birds in our back yard wake us each morning with their beautiful songs. Springtime in Texas also means the brief but beautiful return of our state flower, the Bluebonnet! Along with the bluebonnets blooming you will also find the flower known as Indian Paintbrush. The two combined present a bouquet of colors with deep blue and bright orange’s mixing in with other flowers of white, purple and red.

Laurel and I took a 250 mile ride on our Harley on Saturday, April 10, 2010 and took the pictures you will see here. If you like what you see, and might like to use one or more of the pictures for a desktop background or as a screen saver slide show, just click on the picture to see the full size version. After the full size version appears, just right click on the picture and select “Save As” and then save it to your computer. You are free to use any picture from this site for non-commercial purposes.
